You can take any ferry crossing to France, but the three operators above provide direct services to St Malo.

If driving from Paris head for St Malo and when you get close to the town follow the sign to Dinard, which will take you on to the main D168 which curls down the hill and over the barrage, a hydroelectric dam, one of only two in the world driven by tidal power. If you arrive on the hour you may have to wait for 10 minutes while the lock gates open.

Once over the other side go over the first set of lights, then after about three boatyards on your right you come to a big roundabout with an underpass. Turn right to Dinard, noticing the big Intermarché on the opposite side of the roundabout which is a good place to shop for food. Should you miss the turning go on to the next roundabout and come back!

After a mile or so you come to some traffic lights where you will get your first glimpse of the coast. Go straight over and now just keep to the right all the way. After a short distance filter right past a Pharmacie, then keep right at the next junction. The road narrows - miss the small road to the right which goes to the yacht club (turn back if you end up there) but keep right again at the big open junction where you will see the Hotel des Bains opposite you. Go down the hill and ours is the last but one door on the right, with a black number one on the door, and a small blue plate with no.1 on it on the wall.

To get into the flat press the white button by the door on the right to release the catch. Go up the stairs and ours is the wooden door facing you with a further few steps leading up to it. You will notice a small keysafe by the door which has a key in it for you to gain access.
